Uprooted 2019

During Mia’s senior year of college participated in thesis. She worked over the course of a year, improving her eye and making a cohesive body of work. At the end of the year a group exhibition took place with five other artists. Mia worked with porcelain, gas firing, wood firing, white stoneware, slip trailing, sculpting and woodworking to complete the final presentation. In order to showcasen her work at eye level she made hollow core door shelfs and installed them into the wall.
